We moved on from the neutral mask, into The Poetic Body. This involved investigating paintings, elements, music, materials, and poetry to discover how they moved. It was the most abstract work we had done at school so far, and if I tried to describe it to anyone, they would think I was mad!
Of course, it's always the people who complete any experience, and the Lispians are some of the best people I have ever met. It's great to know people with the same mental issues as you!
In other news, the burlesque has been on the back-burner for the time being. And with both of the gigs I had booked this month cancelled, I only see London Burlesque Festival looming in the distance! But just before that on May 11th I have the Best of Bawdsville show to prepare for. It's going to be an all-female cabaret with a running narrative. I'm going to be performing Lolly Poppins and The WAG, and taking part in one of the sketches.
I'm also delighted to announce that I will be a resident performer for Bawdsville after next month. It will be a bi-monthly event at the Ram Jam Club in Kingston.
Time to get writing some applications!
