Public Speaking
A physical and vocal workshop, exploring relaxation, charisma, technique and storytelling.
The basics can be covered in an hour, though the session is most effective over several hours or a whole day.
Audition Technique
A chance to workshop monologues in progress, or explore the principles of technique and expression in relation to modern or classical speeches.
Delivered over a whole day or over several shorter sessions.
Clowning
Finding your funny is easier than you think! Using a series of exercises we will explore the authentically ridiculous, as groups, pairs and individuals.
Best delivered over two or three consecutive days. Can be taught as an introduction in two hours.
Dramatic Territories – Tragedy and Melodrama
A journey into the physical dynamics of tragedy. Looking at weight transference, materials and the grieving process, building towards the use of voice and delivery of classical text.
Best delivered over several hours to a whole day.
Commedia del’Arte
A very physical workshop looking the dynamics and rhythms of comedy, and an introduction to the commedia stock characters in voice and body.
Best delivered in a whole day or in 1-2 hour sessions over a few days or weeks. This workshop is quite physically demanding, and so the fitness levels of the participants should be taken into account in the time allowance.
Puppetry and Object Manipulation
Building the delicate steps from the basic principles of puppetry and object manipulation, to the more complex and demanding ways of handling larger puppets and combinations of objects. A chance to explore the very rich world of puppetry, and to make at least one of your own to keep if you wish.
All materials are provided, though a list will be sent out to you beforehand requesting a few materials you can also bring if you have them.
The way I love to deliver this workshop is over two to five whole days, culminating in anything from a display to a carnival!
Ensemble Storytelling
Looking at the epic theatre structure, and the boundaries of the platform, we explore how stories are told in groups ranging in size. The sessions work equally as well with a broad theme or a specific text.
Can be delivered in a whole day or two, and can easily be structured to take place over several weeks.

There are many factors that could influence a fee; mine are competitive and realistic! Please email to enquire.
I will normally ask for 25% of the final fee as a deposit to secure your booking – fully refundable two weeks before the date of the first workshop.
You will be sent or emailed an invoice within a week after the final day of the workshop for the remainder of the fee.
Payment is (preferably) by bank transfer.

- A group evaluation sheet to be completed by me, and individual evaluation sheets for longer sessions, to be completed by the participants as soon as possible after the workshop.
