For me she has taken to the art quite naturally, she's talented, although it has to be said she has been well schooled (Jo King) but basically she as good as any established performer I've worked with both on and off stage and I've booked her for the same rate I pay the experienced act for a forthcoming show. So while she's not been around too long, she ain't no 'newbee' to me.

Jeu Jeu is wonderful! Her A-Team act had me in stitches, a truly creative talent there.

Following Beatrix, was Jeu Jeu la Foille, with her comical Mary Poppins skit. This act, was "practically perfect in every way" with her amazing impersonation, complete with all the necessary things a nanny needs; hat, umbrella, coat, bottomless carpet bag, and a little bit of magic. Fun, sweet, and so imaginative, this "Spoonful of Sugar" striptease was simply superb.

After that it was time for the seated entertainment. First came the newcomer’s competition. I have to say, I was amazed that the performers being showcased had only been performing a year. The costumes were gorgeous and clever, the dancing was incredibly accomplished (mind you, all dancing looks accomplished to me, but these were particularly good!) and the concepts were sophisticated. I don’t know how the judges came to a decision as there were so many acts that charmed me! I particularly enjoyed the quirky fun dance moves in Elle Amour’s cupcake act, the hilarious facial expressions in Jeu Jeu la Foille’s Mary Poppins, Peski DeVille’s innovative magic flowers and skilful fan throwing and Nix Le Noir’s gorgeous costume (especially the headdress!). All the performers were super and I don’t feel I could have competed with most of them despite having been on the scene somewhat longer.
Emerald Ace of Oddball Burlesque on ‘Delicious’: July 2010
Hitting another sombre note, Jeu Jeu La Foille went to the crossroads to barter for her talent, Robert Johnson-style. Signing her contract on the back of the Devil (a rather cute puppet, which she manipulates to great comic effect), the dancer began to experiment with her newfound powers, hesitantly stripping to 'Me and the Devil' and a heavier rock version of 'Love in Vain', collapsing from too much Jack Daniel’s in a sudden conclusion.

The Burlesque Queen of props and clever costuming; the stunningly beautiful Jeu Jeu La Foille seamlessly puts together hilarious parodies of some of the campest and kitschest themes around.
Miss Bubbles of Elysian Nights: May 2011
The incredibly creative Jeu Jeu la Foille who chose a saucier version of Mary Poppins as her act to great success.

Had a brilliant weekend of watching Burlesque shows at the Star and Garter and the Lowry. I didn't think I could love Jeu Jeu la Foille any more than I already did, but then I saw her Pammy routine! I suggest if you've not seen it you get to her next show ASAP as its brilliant. Massive thank you to everyone else I saw for making me laugh my heels off !
Bella Donna Berry: July 2011
The joy of Jeu Jeu la Foille’s ‘Bone Appetits’ act is pure, raw schadenfreude: how smugly satisfying it is to watch a smug Whole-Foods-shopping, tofu-advocating strident vegan give in to the baser virtues of a good pork pie. (Extra bonus points for her Pepperami corset, which is an absolute work of art.)

I’ve always loved Jeu Jeu’s acts, they all have a wonderful narrative and this one was no different, adding in the greatest glitter pour I have ever seen!!
Jeu Jeu was a fantastic model and even managed to resist breaking down and laughing at Ivvonna for while (which is the ultimate test of any Sketchy’s model), I got to draw her (well thats the idea you know?) and to see her Faustian, pact with the devil act once more. It is absolutely brilliant, it involves puppetry (which automatically raises it higher) and the best glitter pour I have ever seen.
The more I see Jeu Jeu the more I find to love, every single one of her acts has a story, don’t get me wrong, I do love a bit of bump n’ grind (as we’ll get to next) or some neo or sideshow based burley (Kim’s Glassjaw!) but Jeu Jeu’s storytelling is just brilliant.
There was burlesque from one of my favourite performers Jeu Jeu La Foille, (i wish I’d kept a flyer so I could tell you where shes going to be next as she is truly brilliant) her act was hilarious, her little devil on her shoulder was cute and funny and that glitter pour!! To be honest (and possibly controversial in the burley world) I’ve gone off glitter a little, I’m beginning to wonder if theres just too many glitter pours out there with little impact, they don’t serve to enhance some performances and I’m not convinced they’re needed, not that I’m an authority… But Jeu Jeu took it to another level, go see her, you’ll see why.
